Invisalign & Crossbites

Patients presenting complaint: Appearance of front tooth especially the ur1

Initial assessment: The UR1 is in crossbite and the ur1 and the lr1 have development hypoplasia. This will require restorative intervention.

Overview of case: Single teeth in crossbite like this are very easy to treat with Invisalign. The real difficulty here is the severe rotation of the ur2 but as this tooth also requires composite after alignment it’s less of a concern.

No. of aligners: 34 aligners including refinement were used, followed by composite placement on the ur1,2 ul1 & lr1.

Retention: Bonded retainer and night time vivera retainers.
